This project was conducted during my very first semester at school after the first lockdown and looked at absurdism, humor, and irony for inspiration. Looking at what was happening around me, I focused in on the way we used different tools like masks, gloves, suits, etc. and how we interacted with the world through those, instead of our own bodies. It was like a third skin: I noticed how they tugged and pulled on our skin and our clothes, creating weird marks and wrinkles. I injected fantasy into that narrative, creating this character of a Dystopian Princess: a world where we became almost bionic and merged with our clothes and gadgets, destroying the human silhouette and taking changing the way the human form looks and takes up space.
